Drive to Krakow, the city of “kings and dragons” and former capital of Poland, at the foot of the royal Wawel Castle. Along the way, visit the world-famous Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Krakow has Europe’s largest medieval market square and numerous historic monuments and churches with magnificent interiors. In the evening, you will have the opportunity to enjoy another beautiful Christmas market in Krakow. Overnight stay in Krakow.

This day is dedicated to visiting the impressive Royal Wawel Castle. Built on a hill overlooking the Vistula River, Wawel Cathedral became the coronation site of Polish kings when Krakow became the capital in 1138, and the castle served as their principal residence. Although it was destroyed during the Partitions, it was never forgotten by the nation and now stands beautifully restored for visitors to admire. Overnight stay in Krakow.

After breakfast, return to Warsaw. Make a special stop at a bauble factory in Piotrków Trybunalski.
