Explore the elegance of Art Nouveau on a creative city tour through Schwabing, Munich’s historic bohemian district and birthplace of German Art Nouveau. Led by a knowledgeable architect and official tour guide, you’ll discover remarkable façades, floral motifs, and bold design ideas that shaped this artistic movement. Along the way, hear fascinating stories about iconic figures such as Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee.
We carefully observe and frame four outstanding Art Nouveau façades to capture their unique details. These visual impressions will inspire our creative finale.
After about an hour of exploration in Schwabing, we take the U-Bahn to a contemporary art district on the grounds of a former cattle yard. In a ventilated shipping container, you’ll work hands-on with spray paint and create four postcards using stencils based on the Art Nouveau treasures we examined earlier. Beginner-friendly, relaxed, and fun.

Meeting and pickup
We’ll meet at Georgenstraße 7 – in front of the entrance to the building. Look for me with a tablet over my shoulder – I’ll be easy to recognize. The easiest route is via the U3 or U6 subway lines. Get off at Giselastraße station and enjoy a 10-minute walk to our meeting point.
