The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum takes us back to the time of World War II and shows us what life was like in the Nazis’ concentration camps. This visit is a history lesson that offers you the unique opportunity to learn about the darkest aspects of human nature. More than 1 million people were murdered there, mainly Jews brought from all occupied countries or from territories under the political influence of the German Nazis. People died in gas chambers, were tortured, and subjected to inhumane medical experiments. It is a horrific lesson in what the Holocaust was and how it operated.
It is a full-day trip (12–13 hours):
4h – travel from Warsaw to Auschwitz,
2h – guided tour in Auschwitz,
1h – guided tour in Birkenau,
4h – travel from Birkenau to Warszawa.

What to expect
Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum
Enjoy private transportation throughout the entire journey. You will be picked up directly from your hotel in Warszawa and travel in a luxury Mercedes-Benz or BMW vehicle to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. Upon arrival at the museum, you will have 15 to 20 minutes before the group tour begins. The group consists of up to 30 people.
When entering the museum, you will pass through security screening, as at an airport, with metal detectors. The driver will accompany you until you meet the tour guide and help you collect your audio equipment (headphones and receiver), so you can hear the guide clearly during the tour.
The visit is divided into two parts: first Auschwitz-I camp and then Auschwitz-II Birkenau, 3.5 km away. Your chauffeur will, of course, be available to you at all times. Learning about these German Nazi crimes takes approximately 3 hours (Auschwitz-I approx. 2 hours, Auschwitz-II Birkenau approx. 1 hour). After the first part of the tour at Auschwitz-I, you will have another 15- to 20-minute break. The driver will take you from Auschwitz-I to Auschwitz-II Birkenau for the second part of your visit.
Most of the grounds and buildings are accessible to visitors, except for the blocks reserved for the museum administration and its departments.
When you have finished your group tour, the driver will take you back to your hotel or another location in Warszawa.
