Daihstraße is the oldest surviving street in Hamburg's Old Town and a popular landmark of the city. Daihstraße dates back to the 14th century; it was first mentioned in the year 1304.

The Speicherstadt is the world's largest warehouse district, with all buildings erected on deep wooden foundations, in this case oak. It is located in the port of Hamburg; its total length is 1.5 km. Construction began in 1883 and was completed in 1927.

The Elbphilharmonie is a concert hall in Hamburg, completed in November 2016. It was planned with the goal of creating a new landmark for the city and a "cultural monument for everyone." The 110-meter-high building in the HafenCity district lies on the right bank of the Norderelbe at the tip of the Großer Grasbrook, between the mouths of Sandtorhafen and Grasbrookhafen. It was built on the shell of the former Kaispeicher A (built in 1963).

St. Michael's Church is Hamburg's main Protestant church, one of Northern Germany's most significant buildings, and the city's "calling card." The late Baroque temple dedicated to the Archangel Michael is also called "Großer Michael."
