Description
The tour starts at the church with the city's tallest church tower – St. Michael's Church, which was considered a city landmark for years. From here, you'll explore Hamburg's west and walk towards the modern Elbphilharmonie, the "concert hall of superlatives." Your guide will show you various buildings and share anecdotes about Hamburg personalities, as well as gastronomic tips. The tour must include the historic Speicherstadt, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the adjacent, but completely different, modern HafenCity, whose most famous building determines our endpoint – the Elbphilharmonie. This building is the epitome of the fusion of tradition and modernity in Hamburg Harbor – your guide will tell you more about it! At the end of the tour, you'll have a fantastic view of Hamburg Harbor and can visit the Elbphilharmonie on your own (subject to plaza closures).
