Description
Kulmhof was one of the first German Nazi extermination camps in Poland. It was established in 1941 and operated, with a short interruption, until 1944. It is located just 180 km west of Warsaw and is easily accessible by car. The drive from Warsaw to Kulmhof takes more than 2 hours. We usually spend approximately 3 hours on site. The total duration of the Kulmhof tour is approximately 7–8 hours. This tour is recommended for people interested in World War II and the Holocaust.

What to expect
Kulmhof Death Camp Museum
Kulmhof (Chelmno nad Nerem) is approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Warsaw. When we arrive there, we will first visit the museum. Kulmhof has a brand-new exhibition on the history of the German extermination camp.
We will watch a short film in the granary, view the remains of the palace (not much is left), and also see the presbytery, which was used as an administrative building by the Sonderkommando. We will then continue to the Rzuchów Forest. This is where gassed people were burned and buried in mass graves. Please note that the camp was destroyed by the Germans in 1945.
