This is Agüita’s gold standard: a premium wine tasting, private for you and your group – from 2 to 12 guests.
Joan, founder of Agüita and a certified sommelier, selects 4 outstanding Spanish wines – bottles chosen for a singular concept, a strong sense of place, and the philosophy of the small producers behind them – and pours them side by side after a welcome glass of Cava, so you can compare structure, aging, and terroir glass by glass.
The evening includes a cheese board, bread with olive oil, and a surprise final pour. Vegan bites, gluten-free bread, and a selection of 3 alcohol-free wines are available for non-drinkers – just let us know when booking.
Because it’s private, the tasting adapts to you: dive deep into Priorat and aged Garnacha, or keep it light and fun for a celebration. Ideal for couples, anniversaries, small groups of friends, or a company celebration.

What to expect
- Welcome (10 min) — Meet at Agüita Wine Bar in El Born. Settle in with a glass of Cava while Joan explains how a comparative wine tasting works.
- The flight, wines 1–2 (35 min) — The first pair of Spanish wines, tasted side by side. Look, smell, sip, compare. Cheese board and bread with olive oil served.
- The flight, wines 3–4 (35 min) — Dive deeper into Spain’s regions and native grape varieties. Guess-the-difference games, producer stories, and honest answers to every wine question.
- Surprise finale (15 min) – One final pour to round off the journey, plus Joan’s map of wine bars and bottle shops for the rest of your stay.
