Bastei Bridge
The final attraction is the Bastei Bridge in Saxon Switzerland, which is the highlight of the German side of the national park. The Bastei rock formation offers numerous viewpoints overlooking the Elbe Gorge on the right bank of the Elbe. You can take a leisurely walk across the famous sandstone bridge connecting the Bastei and visit the ruins of the old medieval Neurathen rock castle, which dates back to the 12th century.

Our tour guide will meet you in your hotel lobby between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. You should be back between 6 and 8 p.m. Please don’t forget to bring your passport. As you have booked a hiking option, we recommend hiking or sports shoes suitable for uneven terrain. Do you have any dietary preferences, such as vegetarian meals? You do not need any special equipment for the tour; just wear clothing that is comfortable for outdoor activities. A daypack may also be useful. One day before the tour, we will send you a confirmation of the exact pickup time along with the latest weather forecast for the hike. Health and Safety Declaration Safety comes first! To participate in our outdoor tours, you must sign our Outdoor Adventure Tour Declaration Form, which acknowledges important health, safety, and liability information. Please note that this form is mandatory for all participants before the start of your adventure. The form will be available to you on the day of the tour.
