Warsaw
On the food tour, you will sample several traditional Polish dishes. We will visit five different restaurants. As an appetizer, try herring with sausages and traditional Polish potato vodka. Next, we will visit an old-style restaurant. In this elegant venue, you will have the opportunity to try traditional sour rye soup, żurek, with egg and sausage, traditionally served in a bread bowl. Next, you will try stuffed cabbage and the traditional winter stew, Bigos, made with cabbage, mushrooms and meat. Now it is time for dessert. At Warsaw’s oldest café, you will have the opportunity to try a doughnut with rose jam, a traditional local dessert. Finally, you will enjoy an aperitif consisting of three different types of liqueur. In the past, these were made and served at the manor houses of the Polish aristocracy. I hope this tour gives you unforgettable memories.
Meeting and pickup
At the meeting point, you will see a person with a white-and-blue umbrella—that’s me. Sigismund’s Column is the most distinctive landmark in the Old Town. It is located in front of the Royal Castle on Castle Square. Every local knows this place and can easily show you where it is.
