What to expect

1

Sagrada Família

The Sagrada Familia (Basilica and Expiatory Church of the Holy Family) is Barcelona's landmark and the most visited landmark in all of Spain. It is considered the finest example of modernist architecture, designed by Antoni Gaudí, and every day thousands of tourists explore this strange yet unfinished temple. Construction of the building began in 1882. It was originally designed in the Neo-Gothic style. A year later, it was entrusted to the Spanish-Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, who completely redesigned it. He designed a remarkable and original basilica with 18 towers. However, he died before he could complete this masterpiece, having built only one of the church's towers.
Gaudí died in 1926, leaving his most important project unfinished. Nevertheless, renowned architects continue to build his work to this day. Funding for the construction is raised through the many visits to this impressive attraction and various donations.

2

Rambla de Catalunya

Las Ramblas is often the first landmark that most tourists associate with the city. It is a large boulevard running right through the city center. It is full of Barcelona at its finest. Las Ramblas is approximately 1.2 kilometers long, with Port Vell (near the cruise terminal) at the southernmost end and Plaça de Catalunya at the northernmost end.
If you stand with your back to Port Vell and look along Las Ramblas toward Catalunya, the Raval district is on the left and the Barri Gòtic (or Gothic Quarter) is on the right.
Las Ramblas can also be roughly divided into run-down and less run-down areas. This distinction between shabby and less shabby becomes much more apparent at night, when the southernmost end of Las Ramblas turns into a kind of red-light district and is frequented by sex workers.

Spotify Camp Nou

Camp Nou has been the home of FC Barcelona since its completion in 1957 and is Spain's largest stadium and the third-largest football stadium in the world! One of the world's most historic football stadiums, Camp Nou has hosted two Champions League finals, two UEFA Cup Winners' Cup finals and matches from other major football events, including the FIFA World Cup, the 1992 Summer Olympics and more. This enormous football stadium can accommodate a staggering 99,354 people at once!
We will only drive past this location for a photo stop, as we do not have time to go inside

El Cort Engles

El Corte Inglés is Spain's largest department store and your absolute best choice if you need to buy anything from adapters and socks to another carry-on bag in which to store all your new purchases.
The nine-story store on Plaça de Catalunya is surprisingly easy to navigate. In addition to department store merchandise, it also has a supermarket, pharmacy, optician, currency exchange, travel agency and beauty salon.
Shop your way up to the top floor and reward yourself with a drink and a bite to eat at Café La Rotonda.
We recommend a brief 20-minute stop here to take a quick look inside, but you can choose to skip it or stay inside longer, as you prefer.

Haus Milà (Casa Milà)

As the last project Gaudí took on before his death, Casa Milà is considered the culmination of his career. It was originally designed to house Barcelona's wealthy families. You may also hear it referred to as La Pedrera (meaning “quarry”), a name that arose because of the large amount of stone used to construct the building and the many features that seem to have come from nature.
