ACCESSIBILITY - WHAT DO PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES NEED TO CONSIDER?
The rear bus door is the entrance for passengers with wheelchairs and strollers. A mobile ramp is available. There is 1 space inside the bus for a wheelchair or stroller. Passengers with mobility impairments may not be able to access the upper deck of our buses.
Severely disabled passengers who have significant walking difficulties (symbol G), are helpless (symbol H), deaf (symbol Gl), or blind (symbol Bl) can receive a supplementary sheet with a token from the social welfare office upon application, to accompany their severely disabled person's pass with an orange imprint. The supplementary sheet entitles them to free travel nationwide on public transport, and therefore, upon presentation of their pass and the supplementary sheet with token, they can also travel for free on the Red Double-Deckers of Line A. Severely disabled persons whose pass indicates entitlement to bring 1 accompanying person (symbol B) can bring 1 accompanying person for free – even if the severely disabled person does not possess a supplementary sheet with a valid token.
CAN MY DOG COME ALONG?
Four-legged companions can also ride along with the Red Doubledeckers free of charge. But please note: In all cases, dogs that could endanger other passengers must wear a muzzle. And: Dogs must, of course, always be kept on a leash. Furthermore, while animal companions are welcome to listen to "Sit!", they should not claim a seat for themselves.
