This 12th Sunday after Trinity, according to kirchenjahr-evangelisch.de, is under God's healing presence:"Sometimes I fall silent before the suffering of others. Sometimes I stand paralyzed by the challenges facing our world.Sometimes I close my eyes to the images that stream in daily via television and my ears to the laments of the desperate. Sometimes I close my heart… The 12th Sunday after Trinity speaks of Jesus, who opens people's ears and heals the sick, of the vision of a world without suffering, of the end of all injustice. But it goes even further: It tells of people who, inspired by Jesus' example, draw others out of their paralysis. People are touched by Jesus in manifold ways and spread his praise – and, to the best of their ability, help build God's kingdom."LeadershipPastor Annkatrin KolbeOrganizerEv.-Luth. Who doesn't know these lines?“Praise the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all the good he has done for you!” Yes! Gratitude is the theme of Sunday – thanks for unexpected encounters with God, which only reveal themselves in retrospect; thanks for concrete experiences; thanks for being loved by God. Praise the Lord!More here:https://kirchenjahr-evangelisch.de/14-sonntag-nach-trinitatisThis month's song also fits very well:Herz auf lautLara Neumann – ThemeOrganizerEv.-Luth. A steady rhythm (2nd Monday of the month), since the beginning of the year (2026) a new time (8:30 PM), but still the same place (Adventskirche Schnelsen) for relaxation, prayer, and conversation (no ifs, ands, or buts).Yes, Monday has an image problem, many people don't like it. It's the day when everything picks up speed again – appointments, tasks, expectations. In other words: too often, stress. All the more important it is to allow yourself a moment of peace before the workday takes its course again. We therefore want to cast anchor once more before the big drive into the work week, to find peace, to gather ourselves, and to start the new week mindfully. The Monday service takes place on the second Monday of each month: always at 8:30 PM in the Adventskirche (and not during the summer holidays).Attention:During the 2026 summer holidays in Hamburg (Thursday, July 9th to August 19th), we will be pausing Anchor Time...The next dates this year:September 14, 2026October 12, 2026November 9, 2026December 14, 2026You are warmly invited!LeadershipPastor Sascha KrügerOrganizerEv.-Luth. Thanksgiving reminds us how much in our lives is not to be taken for granted. Grass doesn't grow faster if you pull on it; we can't "make" apples or potatoes. Many things succeed without us planning them. And some things carry us, especially when we least expect it. Gratitude is therefore more than a feeling – it is an attitude that changes our perspective. Those who are grateful see differently: more consciously, more calmly, more connected. The Bible simply summarizes this attitude:Everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving. (1 Timothy 4:4)We bring everything together, our gifts, our stories, and our gratitude – and remember that God has richly blessed us. In the big things as well as the small.Pause and ask yourself with us: What am I grateful for today?Often, a single thought is enough to see life a little brighter – or a note by the bed: BE GRATEFUL! That changes something! Absolutely!OrganizersEv.-Luth. Kirchengemeinde Schnelsen
