  • Lunch & Launch: EY and CEEZER present ‘One Sky, Two Markets: Unlocking value in the emerging global markets for SAF and SAFc'
Lunch & Launch: EY and CEEZER present ‘One Sky, Two Markets: Unlocking value in the emerging global markets for SAF and SAFc'
    Today, 11:00 - 11:30
🌐 Language: English ♿ Wheel-chair accessible 💶 Free of charge 🎟️ Hosted by: EY & CEEZER Join EY and CEEZER for a keynote presentation as they launch their new joint white paper, One Sky, Two Markets: Unlocking value in the emerging global markets for SAF and SAFc . Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is the only viable pathway to defossilize air travel, but supply is falling well short of what mandates and net-zero targets require. On announced projects, SAF covers barely half of regulation-driven demand by 2050, with the largest gap in Europe. SAF certificates (SAFc) help close the cost gap: through book-and-claim, airlines and corporate buyers share the SAF premium, giving corporates an in-sector tool to address Scope 3 emissions. The SAFc market is growing quickly, from 740 tCO2e retired in 2022 to roughly 1 MtCO2e in 2025, and SBTi now recognizes SAFc as an eligible commodity certificate. Compliance recognition, however, is still missing. The keynote will cover the paper's key findings, including: Why SAF and SAFc are needed Why SAF supply is structurally short, and where the deficit concentrates How book-and-claim works, and what a Scope 3 SAFc purchase representsA buyer’s guide to navigate SAFc purchase and reporting Lunch will be served next to the event room, WaveSpace, where attendees are welcome to serve themselves and join us for the presentation. The white paper is currently available for download here . https://www.munichclimateweek.com/de/event-calendar/event/lunch-launch-ey-and-ceezer-present-one-sky-two-markets-unloc-evt-tmbws3nnu6bwdgk
