Soulful stands for feeling,Gospel stands for the Gospel or the "Good News".The name says it all, because the choir has been singing traditional andmodern gospel songs with a lot of feeling for many years.Soulful Gospel, that's us, vibrant voices from the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. With feeling, but alsowith temperament and enthusiasm for gospel music and its message, we sing our way into theears and hearts of our listeners.Since its inception, the choir has performed concerts in Hamburg and its surroundings or on smaller concert tours.At the concerts, gospel comes alive, because contact with the audience is important to us. Everyone canfeel free to sing along, dance, and clap.Since January 2023, there has been new choir direction for the Soulful Gospel Choir, namely the talentedSophia Oster. Sophia is a pianist and singer who has undergone classical trainingand then found her home in jazz.We are very happy that our paths have crossed and that we were able to inspire her for gospel and for us asa choir.Let yourself be taken into the world of gospel: Uplifting melodies whose joy and deep emotion are infectious, and texts full of confidence and faith, which were often created in great emotional distressand can still give us hope today.
