On Saturday, 7 November 2026, the area around the community centre at Baakenhafen will be especially atmospheric. At the Festival of Lights, neighbours, families and friends will come together to spend an autumn evening in the neighbourhood.From 17:00 to 20:30, visitors can look forward to a varied programme of hands-on activities, culture and offerings from the neighbourhood. A light installation will illuminate the area around the community centre.Activities include lantern making, ice stock sport and a photo station. Kita Kitea HafenCity will present a kamishibai (Japanese paper theatre). The programme also includes a performance by the “Meerstimmig” choir from the Ecumenical Forum and a winter-themed walking act. Musical accompaniment will be provided throughout the event.Food and drink stalls will offer crêpes, waffles, bratwurst, punch, coffee, mulled wine and soft drinks.
