Bar Wohlzimmer

Kirsten Petersen's second solo exhibition, GUESS WHAT, presents new works alongside a selection of earlier pieces. The basis of her highly abstract art is always an original photograph. Using various techniques and a wide range of filters (no AI), she transforms it to such an extent that all representational elements dissolve completely. The result occupies a visual space between photography and painting. This gives rise to vivid, intensely colorful works as well as pared-down, graphic, or black-and-white compositions. The images are presented in lightboxes and as prints mounted behind acrylic.Kirsten Petersen lives and works in Hamburg
