Basement 74

Indie Latin Night is back for its fourth edition! Join us on October 2nd at Basement'74 for a night of live music featuring Latin American indie and experimental progressive cumbias. House, hip-hop, and cumbia collide as our resident DJ keeps you moving between live sets.    DESENFRENO TROPICAL Desenfreno Tropical is a Latin American tropicannibalist music band whose concept embraces an experimental, interdisciplinary, and, at the same time, danceable approach, exploring new ways of understanding the ritual dimensions of celebration. Their music creates a dialogue between Latin American traditions, tropical rhythms, and contemporary global influences such as avant-garde jazz, electronic music, and psychedelic rock.    ALBERTO TERZO AND PEDRO UZCATEGUI Enjoy the original songs and covers of our resident Venezuelan duo — Latin music on shuffle, if you will, moving between pop, bossa, merengue, and more.    SVEGLIA DJ PROJECT Enjoy a musical kaleidoscope fusing house and hip-hop with cumbia.   ✨ Also enjoy drinks and Latin American food on a donation basis! 📍Piustr. 88, Cologne-Ehrenfeld 🎟️ Donation basis: 10–15€ 🚪 Doors open at 19:30 | 🎶 Live Music starts at 21:00   A successful party is based on respect and consideration. This means for us: We respect the boundaries of others. Only yes means yes. We pay attention to each other and intervene if we notice something wrong. Unsolicited recordings of others are not allowed. We consume responsibly and considerately.   Our goal is to create a place where we meet each other mindfully, respectfully, appreciatively and lovingly. It should be a place of solidarity, where the personal boundaries of each individual are protected and everyone is encouraged to respect others. Border crossings and violence have no place with us. The most obvious form of violence is physical violence, which we strongly reject. We do not tolerate racist, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic, ableistic, nor sexist statements or behaviours, as well as any other forms of discrimination.
