featuring Helga Siebert and Angelika EgerThe regular events aboard the museum ship Cap San Diego in the Port of Hamburg will continue this year as well. After the successful program 'Ringelnatz: A Real Treasure' Helga Siebert from Hamburg and Angelika Eger from Niendorf/Timmendorf are now presenting 'new treasures' from the rich 'treasure chest' of Mr. Ringelnatz. However, the two artists could not part with some highlights from the old program.Look forward to a lively reading with cabaret-style subtitles by Helga Siebert and plenty of music from Angelika Eger on the accordion.

Experience a special evening on the Cap San Diego. Together, we set sail and travel down the Elbe into the beginning of the night. As the sun slowly sets in the west, the soft light of dusk bathes the Elbe banks in a atmospheric play of colors.Soon, the city shines in the glow of countless lights - the harbor scenery, container terminals, and bridges show themselves from their sparkling side. To this, you can enjoy maritime live music, a light evening snack, and the unique view of the Elbe in the interplay of sunset and nocturnal illumination. Those who seek the special atmosphere in the heart of the ship are also welcome this time in the engine room - where the mighty heart of the Cap San Diego beats. This excursion is more than just a trip: it's a magical evening between history, seafaring, and the magic of lights, and we're also celebrating 40 years of the Cap San Diego as a museum ship!During the entire trip, the Cap San Diego can be visited at all stations, and in the engine room - as well as on the bridge - every maneuver can be experienced up close. Our volunteer crew is available to answer all questions and is always up for a sailor's chat. Our "boys" have stories to tell, for they have sailed across all the world's oceans when the Cap San Diego was still an active cargo ship. Today, the Cap San Diego is unique worldwide. Nowhere is there a larger, seaworthy ship of this class from the era of cargo ships.Schedule:Boarding in Hamburg (Überseebrücke): from 3:00 PMDeparture from Hamburg (Überseebrücke): 4:00 PMArrival in Hamburg (Überseebrücke): approximately 9:00 PMServices:CakeDinnerCoffee and tea as much as you likeLive musicAccess to all stationsArt exhibition in the hatchesTravel moderation

The Grande Dame of shipping - that was the Cap San Diego when it sailed under the flag of Hamburg Süd. A symbol of proud merchant shipping, exclusive design, and modern technical equipment. The Cap San Diego and its sister ships were known as the White Swans of the South Atlantic, and traveling on these ships was something special for both passengers and crew.In 2020, the Hamburg Süd shipping company was wound up and sold to the Maersk shipping company. Many Hamburg Süd fans and employees were heartbroken. We recall the past of the glorious time of Hamburg Süd on board - in memory and sail in the style of old shipping tradition.During the entire trip, the Cap San Diego can be visited at all stations and every maneuver can be experienced up close in the engine room - as well as on the bridge. Our volunteer crew is available to answer all questions and is always up for a sailor's chat. The cabaret programfeaturing cabaret artist Helga Siebert. The evening offers a politically satirical retrospective. Helga Siebert treats herself to some of her favorite numbers and highlights from all of her cabaret programs, and she will certainly also throw in political jibes. The audience can look forward to a highly entertaining evening with Helga.
