September 4, 2026:Art group NORDBOR 3Text by Olavi FellmannOur group shares a deep feeling for Finnish nature. When we hike through the forest, over the mountains, or across the water, we gain access to a knowledge that our cultural environment cannot offer. Our artistic consciousness resides in a tranquility that brings the rustling of the forest, the sounds of the water, the silence of the stones, and the feeling of life's eternity into our way of being and into the essence of our art.Jouko Alapartanen from Lapland is, stylistically speaking, the most naturalistic and skilled oil painter, often making allusions to surreal interpretations.Mervi Erkkilä and Olavi Fellman are more expressive in their style.Mervi's frequent oil paintings of animals are intense, often appearing shamanistic.Olavi has long created graphic art and paintings for the protection of climate and nature, which have been exhibited in several countries, including in Germany in 2012, 2017, 2019, and 2023.The Finnish artists also provide a small musical program with readings of Finnish poetry.Text: Olavi Fellmann / Photo: Mervi Erkkilä, Jouko Alapartanen, Olavi Fellmann
