Exposition permanente
The permanent exhibition at Bergedorfer Schloss shows, alongside the castle's history in engaging thematic rooms, the development of Bergedorf from village to town. For centuries, the Elbe, the Bille, and the Sachsenwald shape the development and daily life of the little town Bergedorf. Together with the surrounding Vier- und Marschlanden, it forms today one of Hamburg's seven boroughs and is part of the Elbe metropolis. It unites rural life, nature, and metropolitan settlements; it is a place to live, a workplace, a home, and a day-trip destination. Which events have shaped life here, and what sets Bergedorf apart from the rest of Hamburg? Historical objects, room installations, photographs, pictures, media stations, eyewitness interviews, games and more invite you to a brief, entertaining discovery tour.
