Casa Museu Cal Gerrer

The Fundació Cabanas was established to preserve the “Cal Gerrer” building and showcase the ceramics of the Arpí family, the Arxiu Marilyn Monroe, and the work of the Cabanas-Alibau brothers. The Cabanes Foundation is housed in the former “Fábrica de Productes Cerámics de Arpí” pottery factory, popularly known as “Cal Gerrer.” This unique building houses a space for temporary exhibitions and three permanent exhibitions. This former pottery factory, currently the only pottery house-factory in the entire Spanish state, allows you to discover the ceramic products of the Arpí potters. You can also learn about the artworks of the Cabañas-Alibau brothers, and there is a collection of photographs and objects belonging to Marilyn Monroe. It is the first museum dedicated to the artist. Another important part of the museum is the viewpoint, which offers views of the monastery and the Collserola mountain range.
