Have your tour guide pick you up at your accommodation in Prague and join us for a one-hour scenic drive to Kutná Hora. Our first stop is Sedlec, a suburb of Kutná Hora, where we will learn about its history and how it became the second-most important city in Bohemia thanks to silver mining in the Middle Ages. We will begin by visiting the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady and St. John the Baptist to admire a magnificent work by the brilliant Baroque architect Jan Blažej Santini Aichel, and then visit the Sedlec Ossuary, known as the Bone Church. This unique chapel is decorated with real human bones. Our next stop is the historic center of Kutná Hora, where we will walk through the narrow streets, soak up the medieval atmosphere, and enjoy a traditional Czech lunch at a charming local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Church of St. Barbara, a Gothic gem among churches. After visiting the church, we will have some free time to enjoy the beautiful views or shop for souvenirs.
