For the COTTON CLUB SWING NIGHT, HARLEM JUMP plays: JUMP emerged in the early 40s in the smoky jazz clubs of Harlem, away from the routine of the big bands.Swing, Blues, and Boogie-Woogie merged there into the hottest jazz had and still has to offer. The Hamburg band HARLEM JUMP, one of the most traditional swing formations in the North German region, has been bringing this music, shaped by artists like Louis Jordan, T-Bone Walker, Cozy Cole, John Kirby, Duke Ellington, or Count Basie, to stages and dance floors since 1988.Emerging from the legendary Blackbirds of Paradise (who in the 70s and 80s supplied finest swinging big band sound beyond Hamburg's city limits, across large parts of the former West Germany and occasionally the GDR), HARLEM JUMP has preserved a refreshing lightness, not least through a constant influx of younger musicians, that is immediately infectious: Sitting still? Impossible!

Red-hot and extremely popular with all fans of Latin American Jazz and Salsa: the Latin Jazz Session at the Cotton Club with the Algodon Latin Jazz Inferno feat.Ariel Flores, Christian Renz, and many others. This band features musicians from Colombia, Ecuador, the USA, and Canada. After the first set, the stage opens for guest musicians.
