Simply put, it is a genuine journey, more than a trivial tour. I will offer you my experience, my studies, and my habits as a “Prague local.” I will try to spark your curiosity by engaging in a dialogue with you. Therefore, there will be no “robotic explanations”; instead, I will try to delve into your memories, concepts, and situations that become visible only at certain points along the way. During the first part, we will touch on the year 1900 and its bloodiest events, from the Holocaust to the Prague Spring. We will travel through history, courtyards, and galleries, all the way to the astronomical clock. We will conclude this first part by immersing ourselves in Jewish culture, “from its rules to its cuisine.” Over the course of the afternoon, however, we will climb the hill where Prague will reveal its royal charm and its “magical, alchemical, and romantic” power.
