Prague Malá Strana Secret Gardens Small-Group Walking Tour
Price from: €52.00
Discover four hidden gardens that most visitors never find, rising in stages from the riverbank to the gates of Prague Castle.
Malá Strana hides more gardens than most visitors ever discover. This walking tour connects four of the best—starting low, by the water, and gradually climbing toward the castle. You begin at the Wallenstein Garden, a Baroque estate built by a general who tore down half a street to make room for his ambitions and which is still roamed by peacocks today. From there, a quiet gateway leads to the Vojan Gardens, Prague’s oldest walled garden, hidden away and rarely visited. The route follows the Čertovka—the “Devil’s Canal”—past an old water mill before climbing to the Vrtba Garden, a UNESCO-listed terraced garden with some of the best rooftop views in the neighborhood. The walk ends one level higher, in the gardens below Prague Castle, right at the foot of the castle walls for anyone who wants to continue farther upward.
