"My Hamburg forever, my Elbphilharmonie for a special day: On September 13, 2026 I will celebrate my birthday in this world-famous hotspot of cultures, with great musical guests and, of course, with my loyal fans," says Inga Rumpf as she looks forward to her 80th birthday. What a grand jubilee! The musician and composer, who for more than six decades has delighted audiences with a distinctive voice, inexhaustible creativity, and pure energy, presents on this occasion a cross-section of her extraordinary musical career. Rock, Soul, Rhythm 'n' Blues, Gospel and Jazz: Inga Rumpf has given these genres a mighty voice. For this she earns the respect and admiration of musical "Friends" (also the name of her long-running band) and of the many admirers across borders. With the 'City Preachers' and the rock bands 'Frumpy' and 'Atlantis' she celebrated international successes half a century ago, with the superstars B.B. King, Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Lionel Richie she toured, with Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood in the studio. Tina Turner started with Inga's song "I Wrote A Letter" - the B-side of the comeback single "Let's Stay Together" - a world career.

Igor Levit PianoLudwig van BeethovenSonata No. 15 in D major, Op. 28 “Pastoral”Sonata No. 16 in G major, Op. 31/1Sonata No. 13 in E-flat major, Op. 27/1 “Sonata quasi una fantasia”Sonata No. 14 in C-sharp minor, Op. 27/2 “Moonlight Sonata”“Pure life” is Beethoven’s music for star pianist Igor Levit. And he should know, after all, Beethoven is, in a way, his lifelong musical theme. His Düsseldorf program also revolves entirely around the master from Bonn. When he first heard Beethoven, Igor Levit was still a teenager – and immediately captivated. The emotional power of the music, its immediacy, the inner struggle: “I felt understood.” He has since recorded all of the “Titan’s” piano sonatas and explained them in a highly successful podcast. At Heinersdorff, Levit showcases the immense diversity Beethoven drew from the genre with these four sonatas, composed between 1801 and 1802: from formal experiments and pianistic jokes to the romantic sounds of the Moonlight Sonata. We look forward to this evening with one of the most exciting Beethoven interpreters of our time!On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death, Igor Levit is presenting all 32 Beethoven Sonatas in North Rhine-Westphalia. The patron of the joint project by Philharmonie Essen, Kölner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Klavier-Festival Ruhr, and Heinersdorff Konzerte is Ina Brandes, Minister for Culture and Science of the State of NRW.

In an orchestra, the strings form their own family, consisting of the violin, viola, cello, and double bass. In one-day workshops, the musicians from the Ensemble Resonanz introduce the instruments - of course, you can also try them out yourself. At the end, the participants become violin makers and build their own instrument.
