A private 2-hour tour for individuals and groups (up to 15 people) in NL/DE/EN. We meet at the starting point, Elisenbrunnen, at 10:30 a.m. or 2:30 p.m. Aachen has an attractive city center with important historic buildings such as the Cathedral (World Heritage Site) and the Town Hall. Both landmarks tell visitors the story of Charlemagne, the famous emperor of Western Europe around 800. During the tour, we will focus on Charlemagne, while also mentioning the history of Aachen’s Industrial Revolution and its renowned RWTH university. Naturally, we begin with Aachen’s rich history as the “Bath of Kings.” During the tour, we will sample Aachener Printen, the traditional regional specialty. Start at 11:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m. (but flexible). Similar tours are also possible in Liège, Belgium, Heerlen, or Maastricht.
