Leon Laloi, born in Kiel, has been living and working in Hamburg for over ten years.After his first solo exhibition at Barlach Halle K and his second solo exhibition in 2024 at the Fabrik der Künste, Leon Laloi consistently continues to develop his work series GRAU. In September 2026, he will return with his third solo exhibition to the Fabrik der Künste. For several months, the new works have been created directly in the factory's studio spaces.With his large-format abstract paintings, Leon Laloi creates visual worlds that do without fixed motifs.Color, movement, and composition are at the center and open up space for personal perception and individual interpretations.„My art provides no answers. It invites you to follow your own thoughts and discover something personal in the image.“"GRAU" does not describe a shade of color. It stands for the space between opposites.The new exhibition continues this idea. For the first time, large-format horizontal works are being created that broaden the view and incorporate space in a new way. Each painting invites you to pause and allow your own associations. The focus is not on the motif, but on what arises between the work and the viewer.
