Join us in Fincan's cosy community space for tea, performances and conversation on topics like: the strange ways we meet ourselves and others in sobriety; finding our voice and new modes of creative expression; overcoming creative blocks and the fear of being seen; representing vulnerability without exploitation; building support networks; class and economic insecurity; creative expression as emotional processing; navigating burnout and disability; self-care and sustainable creativity; who gets to call themselves an artist; mutual aid and collective support. Her practice explores intimacy, cross-modal perception, and collective listening through participatory environments and sensory rituals. 'You Know Me Well (working title)' is a live dialogue between voice, sound, and its own echoes. Her conceptual art practice focuses on multilayered language installations that are artworks which include combinations of language-based performance, multi-channel sound installation and spatial installation elements. These installations through the lens of language and love are the current focus of her practice-based doctoral research. www.shonastark.com | @shonastark 'Remember to Engulf' is a language based performance from a larger installation, 'Round'n'Round,' 2024. The installation began through her lived experience of different types of addiction. "It is simultaneously being done to me and I call for it — that is the cycle, the monotonous cycle that keeps going. 𝙂𝙊𝙍𝙅𝙀𝙊𝙐𝙓 𝙈𝙊𝙊𝙉 is a non-binary femme, trans feminist poet, writer and transdisciplinary artist living and making art as authentically as possible in Berlin, Germany.
