One of the most beautiful corners in Hamburg is the Ohlsdorf Cemetery. As the largest park cemetery in the world, its landscape design is so successful that it was awarded a Grand Prix at a World Exhibition in 1900. There is hardly another place where the green wealth of our city can be enjoyed so well! At the same time, this park is also a treasure trove of history. We see the Honor Grove of the resistance fighters, the memorials for war and persecution, the poets' corner, and the graves of prominent Hamburg residents.
