For example, the fine print of her online banking app becomes a three-day beard. Ancient rock drawings hide in binary code. Genetic manipulation, the effects of the Covid pandemic, and the increasing control of daily life through our online existence are also recurring themes in these new screen prints. As in Küster-Witt's lithography/acrylic mixed media works, the often androgynous figures are not portraits, but arbitrary people. Her metaphorical bodies, which are not concerned with beauty, provide space for dreams and hopes, but also harbor ultimate fears such as loneliness or mortality.Kristina Küster-Witt was a master student of Prof. Peter Ackermann in Karlsruhe and moved to Hamburg two years ago after living abroad for 28 years (USA, Belgium, and the Netherlands).

In a joint exhibition at Galerie Morgenland, the works of the artist couple Gabriele Kruk / Peter Reitberger develop a special dialogue. In anatomy, a growth plate refers to the space in which growth and development become possible. This image serves as the starting point for the exhibition of the same name, which focuses on those often hidden processes from which artistic work emerges. The exhibition showcases both the distinctive styles of the two artistic personalities, as well as their points of connection and the creative exchange that arises between them. At the same time, the works engage with the challenges and ruptures of a society characterized by rapid change. While Peter Reitberger consciously combines modern color media with traditional painting techniques in his color-intensive works, Gabriele Kruk's figurative-botanical imagery ranges from acrylic and mixed media to cinematically animated painting. As a special highlight, some of these "cinematically animated paintings" will be projected both at the opening and during the artist talk (October 1, 2026, 8:00 PM).https://www.gabrielekruk.dehttps://www.studioreitberger.de
