An experienced course instructor provides tips on the most important SUP paddling techniques and good SUP spots in Hamburg. During the guided SUP tour from the Eilbek Canal to the Alster, there's also time for material and technical questions.

You have your own SUP board, but you're still not entirely comfortable with handling it? Anyone traveling on Hamburg's waters with a SUP should be familiar with right-of-way rules and basic safety measures. In the practical part of the stand-up paddling course, you will also learn the most important SUP paddling techniques: the correct length and posture of the paddle, the safe stance on the board, and - last but not least - safe getting on and off. Steering and braking will also be taught. And finally, the techniques will be put to the test on a joint tour towards the Alster.
