Our holiday tour begins near St. Stephen’s Green at The Rolling Donut, one of Dublin’s original donut shops. From there, we make our way down to the Luke Kelly Statue and George's Street, where we talk about the Vikings and Dublin Castle. At our second stop, we sample traditional Irish churros. Believe me, churros may not be traditional in Dublin, but these churros are delicious nonetheless. After crossing the River Liffey and taking in the beautiful sights along the river, we make our third stop at Hot Donut. As we walk up O'Connoll Street, we explore the history of the 1916 Rising. Finally, we stop at OffBeat Donuts on Westmoreland Street. And since this is a holiday tour, we make one last stop on Grafton Street to take in the holiday decorations. We hope you can join us on our holiday donut adventure. We look forward to hosting you soon!
  • An Irish Halloween

Known around the world, yet few people realise that Halloween began here in Ireland. Long before pumpkins, costumes and trick-or-treating, the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter—a night when the veil between our world and the spirit world was believed to be at its thinnest. Join us as we uncover the origins of Halloween through Ireland’s oldest legends. Hear the story of Stingy Jack, discover the traditions that inspired a global celebration, and stroll through Dublin after dark as centuries of folklore come to life. The evening ends with a traditional Silent Supper, freshly baked barmbrack and seasonal treats at one of our favourite independent cafés, offering a truly authentic taste of an Irish Halloween.
