Under the motto "Space for Everyone," a neighborhood festival will take place in Hamburg's Neustadt on September 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The district will become the setting for a diverse program of art, music, exhibitions, tours, and hands-on activities in public spaces. Together with residents, business owners, cultural creators, musicians, initiatives, and institutions, events will be created in various locations throughout the neighborhood – both indoors and outdoors, in shops, shop windows, and squares. A focus of the festival is the presentation of the results of a citizen initiative for the mobile-temporary redesign of Großneumarkt. The central question is how public spaces can be designed for different users. The program includes live music, DJ sets, exhibitions, guided tours, and various participation and action formats.
