H Saseler Markt

From September 18 to 20, 2026, the 51st Saseler Heimatfest invites you to a varied weekend on Saseler Markt. Live music, performances by local associations, fairground attractions, and food and drink offerings will provide entertainment on all three days.On Friday, the program features Country, Rock, and Pop music. Saturday offers performances by TSV Sasel, a large lantern parade with a marching band and fire brigade, and more live music in the evening. On Sunday, a family flea market and the club mile invite you to browse and get to know the local associations. Choirs, orchestras, and bands from the region will musically round off the program.

In 2026, a widely visible sign of community and solidarity is once again to be created on German Unity Day. Choirs, music associations, and ensembles are cordially invited to participate on October 3rd at 7 PM in the nationwide campaign by the association 'Deutschland singt und klingt' (https://3oktober.org). > Following the atmospheric performances of previous years, an event is planned again in 2026 on Saseler Markt. To keep the rehearsal effort for the individual groups low, the song selection will be distributed among several choirs. Thus, ensembles only need to prepare a small selection of the overall program. A joint singing of ten well-known songs is planned (e.g., 'Von guten Mächten', 'We Shall Overcome', or the national anthem). An extensive material package will be provided with songbooks, practice videos, and graphics for preparation. The campaign is a great opportunity to inspire new choir members for your own choir.
