For everyone who is eager to discover the world of drawing! We will playfully try out various materials and techniques. We will address themes such as still life, figure, portrait, and perspective. No prior knowledge is necessary; the course primarily aims to awaken joy in drawing. Each participant will receive individual attention, and the created works will be discussed together.

The Chinese calligraphy (Chinese / zhōng guó shū fǎ) is a traditional art form based on Chinese characters and closely linked to Chinese painting. It has a long history and is part of UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. This course is for anyone interested in Chinese characters and traditional calligraphy. You will first receive an overview of the development of Chinese characters and calligraphy with Kaishu (Regular Script, the base style of today's characters). Before you try your own writing, you will learn the "Four Treasures of the Study" (Chinese / 文房四宝 wén fáng sì bǎo): brush, ink, inkstone, and paper.
