The Hammer Sommerfestival is a versatile neighborhood and cultural festival in Hamburg-Hamm. The Frauendreißiger – Herb Walk with Herbal Educator Lilli Albrecht. Between the Feast of the Assumption and mid-September lies the Frauendreißiger – for centuries, it has been considered the most powerful time of year for gathering. Behind this old tradition lies extensive knowledge of plants that endures to this day. On this walk, we will explore two questions: Which herbs can I still gather now, and how can I preserve them so their power carries me through the winter? You will learn what is suitable for drying and what belongs in an oil or alcohol infusion. And because the Frauendreißiger bears its name for a reason, we will focus particularly on plants that benefit women: Yarrow, Lady's Mantle, and Mugwort have accompanied women through all phases of life since time immemorial. As a nurse, herbal educator, and hormone coach, I will show you how you can practically use this knowledge for yourself. Come along through perhaps the most magical time of the herbal year – I look forward to seeing you!
