With a colorful community festival, Hauptkirche St. Nikolai will celebrate the 100th anniversary of its kindergarten on August 30th, after a festive service for all ages starting at 12 PM. Fun, social interaction, and culinary delights are on the program; for this, the street between the church and the kindergarten (from Harvestehuder Weg 118 to 91) will be closed. Featuring a children's flea market, secondhand children's books, a raffle, a Bobby car and vehicle course, play and craft stations, waffles, fries, cotton candy, barista coffee...The program for the day:+ 11 AM: Festive service for all ages+ 12 PM: Speeches by State Councilor Peponis, among others | Children's choir+ 1 PM: "Once upon a time..." fairy tales with Liane von Schweinitz+ 2 PM: "Der Zaubertrottel" Magic Clown Nonsense Interactive Theater+ 3 PM: Music by "brass con brio" | Parallel in the kindergarten: "Fairy tales for the little ones" with Liane von Schweinitz+ 4 PM: Conclusion with blessing

The high white walls of St. Nikolai become giant canvases this evening. Projections, light, and lasers transform the church interior into a cosmic landscape of stars, colors, and movement. Accompanying this, Anne Michael creates vast, floating, and powerful soundscapes on the hyper-organ, in which space and time seemingly lose their boundaries. The organ becomes a spaceship, the church interior becomes the universe.
