In Hamburg, you come across history, stories, and secrets every few meters. We want to tell history (stories) and unveil (dark) secrets. We begin our journey at St. Michael's Church, take a look at and into the Krameramtsstuben, and pass by a shiny lucky charm by the wayside. At the Stadthöfen, dark history and a shining present collide. And the town hall, which was inaugurated in 1897, will be our fitting conclusion.*- What special significance does October 19th have for the Michel?- What secret does the grille on the church ceiling hide?- What connects the Gängeviertel with a Hamburg original?- What dark secret lies in the Stadthöfen?…and what does the town hall fountain have to do with an air conditioning system? You will find out. This and much more.Note: Normally, the nave of the Michel, the town hall atrium (no other interior rooms of the town hall!) are part of this tour. However, we cannot guarantee access, as any closures may be beyond our control. This public tour is not barrier-free, but can be organized and conducted in an accessible manner for closed groups!
