Take a private tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, the Nazis’ first concentration camp, on a half-day trip from Munich. The tour is led by an officially certified, English-speaking private guide and includes sites such as the camp’s original administrative headquarters, the roll-call area, reconstructed barracks, the “Arbeit macht frei” gate, religious memorials, and crematoria. You will learn not only about the camp’s history, but also how victims from more than 30 different countries are commemorated today. You will hear stories about Dachau’s former prisoners and have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the aspects of Dachau that interest you most. The guide will pick you up at your centrally located Munich hotel or at the main train station, and you will travel together by train to Dachau. All transportation costs are included in the tour price. Please note: Children under 13 are not permitted to take part in guided tours of Dachau by the memorial site.
