House of Surprise

Plot Twist and Three Skies Festival present: HOUSE OF SURPRISE is a new Cologne concert format for contemporary, experimental and genre-crossing music in a special setting. For one evening, an inhabited shared apartment is transformed into a public concert venue — you could also call it a house party. A glass-roofed atrium becomes the stage. Familiar social roles are invited to dissolve. The first edition on 17 October brings together local and international perspectives from experimental soul/jazz and club culture, featuring ELSA and FLAX, alongside additional DJs and spontaneous acts. In cooperation with the long-standing Cologne festival Night of Surprise, soon to become Three Skies, it is particularly important to us to warmly invite both established music audiences and people of all ages from outside existing scenes to experience and shape this new format. Our wish is that, in this unusual setting, everyone can freely and uninhibitedly encounter everyone else, experience music in a more liberated way, and create unexpected moments together. As a recurring format, HOUSE OF SURPRISE will open up new spaces, new audiences and new musical connections in Cologne every three to four months. Plot Twist is an event collective and an initiative founded by Johannes Sauer and Anthony Greminger.   Line-up ELSA — Jazz, Soul & Art Pop             https://www.instagram.com/elsa.steixner/ FLAX — Bass, Breakbeats & Experimental             https://www.instagram.com/officialfritzi/     Location (near Dom) : message us via Signal 01794145874 or email houseofsurprise1@gmail.com Doors: 8:00 pm  Concerts start: 9:30 pm Admission: approx. €10   Drinks available on site: (non-alcoholic) beer, sparkling wine, Mate, soft drinks Open end   https://www.instagram.com/p/DeMxmbjjbnF/   Three Skies Festival The Three Skies Festival takes place from 15–17 October 2026 in Cologne and presents unexpected, experimental and genre-crossing music and sound.
