The great Africa Festival Hamburg is taking place for the 24th time in Hamburg-Altona – from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, all day and with free admission.A festival that brings together people of different cultures and religions is a wonderful opportunity to promote mutual understanding and respect.The African market offers numerous food stalls, diverse handicrafts, as well as presentations by associations and their support projects. On Bruno-Tesch-Platz, visitors can also enjoy a large open-air stage with live acts from various regions of Africa and the Black Diaspora.The musical program ranges from traditional percussion through modern Afropop to Caribbean sounds.
