The Jenisch House is the former country residence of the Hamburg senator Martin Johan Jenisch (1793 – 1857). Built between 1831 and 1834 according to designs by Franz Gustav Forsmann and Karl Friedrich Schinkel, the Jenisch House is a significant monument of neoclassical architecture. The villa architecture and its location in the park distinguish the house as well as the varied design of the rooms in styles ranging from Baroque to Biedermeier.
