    In GEDOK's 100th year, the temporary art shop Ilse Mebes opens in the GEDOK Hamburg gallery at the Haus des Kunsthandwerkes Koppel 66 / Lange Reihe 75. For ten days, a wide variety of works, from drawings and prints to small sculptures by numerous Hamburg-based GEDOK artists, will be offered for immediate purchase at moderate prices. A brilliant opportunity to acquire art by contemporary female artists. > The name of the art shop goes back to the artist and poet Ilse Mebes. She lived from 1900 to 1984, was a member of GEDOK Berlin, and was the great-aunt of Murte Liebenberg, who has now launched the art shop for GEDOK Hamburg. > Opening reception on August 18 at 7 PM: Victoria Meienburg reads from Ilse Mebes' poems. > Spatial sound installation by Martina Detjen can be heard. > Art shop open from August 19 - 29 > The organizers are ready for a large audience.
