Then you've come to the right place for voices to connect: A community choir is more than just singing, it's a shared experience that creates joy, emotion, and harmony.We sing songs from a wide variety of genres, some are created in the moment, some you may already know, some offer completely new inspiration. After a multi-year break, Opera on Tap starts again today in Hamburg:Singers perform on a small stage, with only piano accompaniment. The music is drawn out of the great concert hall and presented in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Each evening features a rotating lineup and a new theme.Opera on Tap (OOT) is an international artist collective dedicated to taking opera out of the concert hall and bringing it to where people naturally gather: in bars, pubs, clubs and other informal venues.Founded in 2005 in New York, Opera on Tap quickly grew into a movement that makes opera accessible, lively, and immediately experiencable. There are now numerous chapters in the USA and Europe – and Hamburg is one of them.What is Opera on Tap about?Accessibility: Opera should not be an elitist event, but an experience for everyone – regardless of prior knowledge or formal setting.Proximity: The artists perform in direct contact with the audience, without distance, right in the middle of the space.Authenticity and fun: The evenings are varied, humorous, and spontaneous. Laughter, tears, excitement, and the occasional sing-along are welcome.Support for artists: OoT provides singers and pianists a platform to trial new programs, gain experience, and engage in dialogue with the audience.

Finest Hollerfolk from the musicians Anna Bottlinger (vocals, violin, mandolin), Maximilian Meeder (guitar, vocals) and Thekla Kersken (cello, vocals). Their music blends the dancing lightness of folk with questions about life, society and nature. Elderland shapes their own Hollerfolk sound with collaborative arrangements of tunes, traditional pieces and new compositions. With multi-part singing, warm string tones and rhythmically plucked patterns and melodies, old and new are brought together. In their new program "Tree of Tales" the band draws inspiration from Celtic Folk and the German singer-songwriter tradition, but also from Scandinavian, American and Hebrew folk music.
