Description

The Lichthof is a theater in Hamburg, located on Mendelssohnstraße in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. The Lichthof predominantly showcases its own productions, but national and international events can also be found on the program calendar. Unusually for the size of the theater – the performance hall accommodates just under 120 people – is the variety of its own productions, many of which have won numerous critic awards. Overall, about 120 events take place throughout the year, mostly featuring young artists. The Lichthof places great emphasis on promoting emerging talents, providing them with a first stage to make a name for themselves in the art scene. Therefore, in addition to professionals, amateurs also frequently perform on stage. Furthermore, the youth theater group of the Lichthof enriches the daily work at the theater with creative ideas.
