In This City, I have Loved is an audiovisual poem for piano trio, performers, AI ensemble, and live visuals. The inspiration comes from the book Last Words from Montmartre by Taiwanese writer Qiu Miaojin, who is considered an icon of queer literature to this day. The work adopts the book's fragmentary, poetic narrative style and brings it into the present by placing the literary source material in dialogue with the lives of queer migrants today.Supported by Musikfonds. In KlangwerkStadt, participants will get to know various electronic musical instruments and gain insight into the basics of electronic music. The focus is clearly on practice: Various electronic musical instruments and sound generators are available to experiment with unusual sounds and create music beyond conventional listening habits.
