Where do we feel safe and secure? In a friendly pub, in the arms of a loved one – or when we know that fourteen angels are watching over our sleep? A sense of security is fleeting – yet it can withstand the fears, uncertainties and dangers of the world.This program of sacred and secular a cappella pieces brings together music from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Works by Guerrero, Byrd, Brahms, Rheinberger and Harburg church musician Rainer Theodor Schmitz are among those performed. Short texts about the content and composers will also be included.The vocal ensemble “Der Kleine Catchclub” consists of six people. English Baroque canons – catches – add variety to our rehearsals and programs. Hence the name.Duration approx. 1 hour 15 minutes, no interval.Admission free; donations welcome.
