Land of Longing Canada: The 33rd OPEN ART exhibition in the Überseequartier, under the title "Canada – Naturally Diverse," will focus on the second-largest country on Earth starting April 23, 2026. Following the exhibition on Florida, the Überseequartier, along with tour operator CRD Touristik and Destination Canada, will present 50 large-format photographs from the numerous trips of Hamburg-based photographer couple Krim Grüttner and Reinhard Prinzmeier. They spent a total of more than nine months traveling through Canada in their camper van, showcasing the diversity that makes the country so appealing. They will take viewers to magnificent landscapes, wild animals, and the indigenous culture of the First Nations.The pictures and stories will be accessible around the clock and free of charge on the Überseeboulevard until September 20, 2026.After the exhibition ends, each of these 50 original photo panels will be given to donors who have contributed a suitable amount to the non-profit organization SPRACHBRÜCKE-HAMBURG e.V. Wine & Jazz HafenCity becomes SummerBeats HafenCity: On Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29, the marketplace at Überseeboulevard will transform into a vibrant stage for music, enjoyment, and neighborly togetherness. For two days, the Überseequartier e.V. business association, together with local restaurateurs, retailers, and partners, invites you to a young, fresh neighborhood festival in the heart of Hamburg's HafenCity.This year, it's also about drinking around the world: HafenSpezerei, Wattloper, Toni Fabrizi, and Sencha Sushi will offer a select range of wines from all over the world, complemented by fresh beer and non-alcoholic alternatives, as well as a selection of Asian street food from Sencha Sushi and hearty street food from Kumpir HafenCity.The music program of SummerBeats HafenCity combines young live music, singer-songwriter sounds, creative jazz and pop influences, as well as relaxed DJ sets. The sound is deliberately diverse: atmospheric and inviting during the day, lively and conducive to lingering in the early evening, and later with more energy for a summery neighborhood festival atmosphere.
