Meeting point: Gänsemarkt subway station (exit Speckstraße)

After a short stroll through the Gängeviertel at Valentinskamp, where we get to know the history, some artists, and various techniques of street art, we’ll be inspired in a studio located in a former belt factory to move on to the practical part: creating our own artwork:You can design, cut out, and spray your own stencils for stencil graffiti, or develop your own tag (signature) and/or piece (lettering). For those who are not inspired on the day of the workshop, we have prepared motifs ready to go. Among these are also works by Banksy, which, when cut out and sprayed accurately, will be indistinguishable from the originals of the British street artist. As a base for the small artworks, which can, of course, be taken home or onto the street after the workshop, we have something for every taste: from white canvases to wooden boards to old historical or patina-yellowed paper.

Large projects in prominent locations are currently changing the face of the city center and urban life: On this city tour, we will see the "Gängeviertel" at Valentinskamp, the Springer Quarter, the Stadthöfe at Stadthausbrücke, the Fleetinsel, the Alte Wall with the Bucerius Passage, the "BID" Nikolai Quarter, the Burstah Ensemble and the Börse, as well as the Katharinenquartier. The guiding concept of the projects is the 'European' city. The city tour concludes at the Speicherstadt with a view of the HafenCity.
